Ready-made Profiles

Install an expert,
not an empty chat.

Each profile turns your private local model into a domain research analyst — pre-wired to real open-data APIs, with a system prompt tuned for the job. Download, import, and start asking. Everything runs on your machine.

1
Download the profile

Grab the .json below. It contains the APIs and the system prompt — never any credentials.

2
Import it

In LexiChat: Admin → Profiles → Import Profile. The APIs wire themselves up.

3
Start researching

Select the profile, pick a tool-capable model, and ask. It cites every source.

💡 Leave Reasoning on Auto. For multi-step research these profiles chain several APIs — Auto (or On) lets a thinking model plan which tools to call in what order.
📄 Export the answer as a report. Hit Save… on the reply to export the whole turn — text, tables and charts — as HTML, PDF or Word.
📚 Comes with skills. Each profile enables relevant skills — ask for a deck, report, spreadsheet or map and it builds one. Manage them in Admin → Skills.

Parliament Analyst

Politics No API key 100% local

A UK Parliament research analyst that cross-references the official APIs — resolve an MP, then pull their questions, committee seats, and register of interests, citing every source. The kind of cross-checking that normally takes an afternoon.

Connects
Members Oral & Written Questions Committees Register of Interests
"Give me a full profile of an MP: their party and constituency, which committees they sit on, their recent written questions, and any entries in their register of financial interests."

Research Scout

Academia No API key 100% local

A scholarly-literature scout that maps the citation graph across OpenAlex and Crossref — find a seminal paper, trace what it built on and what cites it, profile authors and institutions, and cross-check citation counts between sources.

Connects
OpenAlex Crossref
"What are the 5 most-cited papers on large language models, and who wrote them?"
"Find the most-cited paper on retrieval-augmented generation, then the papers that cite it most, what those authors work on, and how the citation counts compare between OpenAlex and Crossref."

Local Area Checker

Local (UK) 100% local

Enter a postcode or any place — a ward, borough, town or neighbourhood — and get a sourced picture with a map shown inline. It resolves the area to its ward, council and coordinates, then pulls crime, sold house prices, planning applications and local statistics, citing each figure.

Connects
Postcodes.io Police crime Land Registry prices Planning (PlanIt) Census / deprivation Mapbox maps EPC · CQC (free key)
"Give me a full profile of Gravesham" · "What's SW1A 1AA like?"
Requires the Python code sandbox to be enabled (Admin → Tools) so it can tally large datasets accurately. Inline maps use the bundled Mapbox MCP server — install Node and paste a free Mapbox access token into the server's settings. Crime, prices, planning & stats are keyless; EPC and doctor/dentist ratings need a free account key.

OS Data Explorer

Geospatial (UK) Free OS key 100% local

An Ordnance Survey identifier expert. It navigates the relationships between properties (UPRN), streets (USRN) and OS MasterMap features (TOID) through the OS Linked Identifiers API — chain a property to its street, list every property on a street, find a building's polygon — and reaches for OS Names, Features, Maps and routing when a question needs coordinates, geometry or a basemap.

Connects
OS Linked Identifiers OS Names OS Features OS Maps OS Vector Tile Mapbox routing (token)
"What street and building does UPRN 100023336956 belong to?" · "List every property on USRN 8400071"
The five OS APIs share one free OS Data Hub project key — paste it into each OS service's settings after import (Admin → OpenAPI). Enable the Python code sandbox (Admin → Tools) so it can tally large results exactly. Routing/POI is optional and uses the bundled Mapbox MCP server (add a free Mapbox token). Note: OS Features Topography layers need a Premium OS plan; the OpenData layers are free.
